This is the image for the news article titled District Safety NightsSafety and security is a top priority at Derby Public Schools. You’re invited to attend an upcoming  District Safety Night to learn how you can help keep students and staff safe.

By attending, you will learn more about:
• Recently adopted Standard Response Protocol
• Results of safety/security survey sent in May
• Derby Police Department Adopt-a-School and School Resource Officers

Ginny Atkison-Hall, Derby Public Schools Safety Security Officer, will share information on the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) recently adopted by our district. The SRP is a simplified crisis response that helps staff, students, parents and first responders to quickly and adequately respond to crisis situations. Hall will also offer results from the safety/security survey sent out in May of this year. The Derby Police Department will provide an overview on their Adopt-a-School and School Resource Officers.
